In this edition of our monthly newsletter, we have several items to share with you:
- Point Alliance has partnered with Daily Bread Food Bank to help raise $10,000 for those in need
- Our upcoming webinar covers how Microsoft 365 Applications work together to automate business processes
- Protecting Your Data with Microsoft 365 Compliance and Data Loss Prevention
- What you need to do to Secure your Cloud
Point Alliance has supported the Daily Bread Food Bank nearly every year since 2010. As the years go by, we have seen more and more visits made to our local food banks. 1.6 million food bank visits in Toronto were recorded in the last year. As this is the highest number ever recorded in the city’s history, Point Alliance has decided to, once again, partner with the Daily Bread Food Bank to help address this issue.
To support Daily Bread, Point Alliance has a goal to raise $10,000 to help those in need. In 2020-2021, we exceeded our goal and raised $10,600 for Daily Bread. If we could do it before, we are confident that we can do it again! But, just like last time, we will need your help to do it!
Did you Know?
- A donation of $1 will provide 1 meal to an individual or family that is facing food insecurity.
- Or that $10 will provide 10 fresh meals.
- Even $25 can give a family of four, 2-3 days’ worth of meals to eat!
Your donation options are endless and can make the biggest difference in someone’s life. If everyone in the world donated just $1, we could provide 7.8 billion meals. No matter how big or small, your donation WILL make an impact and be greatly appreciated.

Protect Your Data with Microsoft 365 Compliance and Data Loss Prevention
Our recent webinar provided an overview of Microsoft Purview, which provides a unified data governance solution to help manage and govern your on-premises, multi-cloud and software-as-a-service environments.
Microsoft Purview also provides the ability to manage on-premise servers, endpoints, desktops, and other SaaS clouds, such as Google, Dropbox, Workday, Salesforce, and more.
Are you Ready for the Unique Challenges of Securing your Cloud?
As businesses of all sizes migrate more and more services and operations to the cloud, they find themselves achieving more productivity and efficiency alongside managing new security risks. While the cloud is not inherently less secure than on-premise technology—in fact it is robust in its security attributes—the problem is that cybercriminals are constantly evolving to attack it in new ways.
So what’s a business to do? You need the cloud to digitally transform, yet you are unsure how to proceed in a cloud security landscape that seems to be always changing. There are some hard-and-fast best practices to consider.
